Arbeit und Leben Hamburg is a charitable educational institution. All of our departments are working on a non-profit basis. True to the motto “Qualification without borders”, we aim at encouraging people to expand their knowledge and to move off the beaten track of thinking. We want to motivate people to activate themselves. And we would like to create opportunities to exchange opinions with others and to develop new ideas collectively.

 

Generally, our programmes are open to everyone. Our special focus lies on so-called socially disadvantaged groups – youths still looking for an apprenticeship, disabled persons, migrants or job seekers. Arbeit und Leben Hamburg e. V. is run under the auspices of the Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB) Hamburg) and the Volkshochschule (VHS) Hamburg). We are working successfully with both organisations – and many other co-operation partners – for many years.
